As the construction season winds down and SCEC crews finish big projects, wooden spools that used to hold wire and cables are now sitting empty ready to be repurposed in our community!

Over the summer, several community groups received spools from the co-op with “SCEC” stenciled on them to use at outdoor community celebrations.

If you know of an organization that may be interested in getting some before the snow flies, please contact Member Services at communications@scecnet.net or 715-796-5613.

Individuals who take spools are asked to give a donation to SCEC’s #PowerOn fund, established to help members who may have difficulty paying their bill due to unforeseen circumstances. Check donations written out to SCEC can be deposited 24-7 in the dropbox located in the front driveway of the co-op office. Use the payment envelopes provided, and please write “Spool Donation” on it. We prefer cash donations be brought into the office during regular business hours of 7:30am-4pm M-F.

The spools can be accessed from County Road J on the co-op's far western driveway/entrance.
