At its May 12, 2020 meeting, the Board of Directors at St. Croix Economic Development Corporation elected Brian R. Zelenak, President/CEO of St. Croix Electric Cooperative to a serve a three-year term on its Board of Directors. 

Brian has long been a strong supporter of economic development to attract new businesses to the area, but just as important is retaining the businesses already located here and helping them prosper and expand. 

“Being involved in a larger regional effort through St Croix EDC complements our existing Revolving Loan Fund available to members looking to expand or relocate in our service territory.” 

SCEC also has industrial park land available and special electric rates and programs through our power supplier, Dairyland Power Cooperative to assist expanding businesses. 

The St. Croix EDC is a non-profit organization incorporated to promote economic development, including industrial and commercial job development, job creation and retention and job training in St. Croix County and adjacent counties. 

Brian is a long-time resident of St. Croix County and has been involved with numerous nonprofit organizations over the years. Brian became the President/CEO of St. Croix Electric in November of 2018.
