This may be the last water heater you’ll ever have to buy!

Members can purchase discounted electric Rheem Marathon large-capacity water heaters through our Cooperative. The non-metallic tank eliminates rust and corrosion that leads to leaks in typical tank water heaters. These tanks are backed by a lifetime warranty. Plus, they are lightweight and perfect for the replacement of an existing water heater. Additionally, electric water heaters are safer than comparable natural gas and LP water heaters.

Rheem Marathon Water Heaters purchased through SCEC are required to be entered into one of our Load Management Programs. Beyond the discounted purchase price, members receive a monthly bill credit or a discounted rate for participating in these programs.

We carry 85-gallon and 100-gallon tanks. The 85-gallon tanks are enrolled in our Peak Shave program which interrupts the water heater during Peak Alerts (roughly 4-16 days per year). During these interruptions, members are able to utilize the large capacity tank to supply their hot water needs. Our 100-gallon tanks are enrolled in our Off-Peak program. The water heaters on this program are interrupted during most weekday daylight hours  and offer the Cooperative additional savings. Because of this, we offer these tanks at a lower purchase price.
