St. Croix Electric Cooperative (SCEC), Hammond, Wisc.—a distribution cooperative, is seeking an experienced professional to join the financial team as a Finance Manager. SCEC serves a fast-growing area in western Wisconsin abutting the St. Croix River to the West along the Wisconsin/Minnesota border.
This position plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and controls all financial and accounting activities to ensure maximum utilization of human and financial resources. This position also provides complete and accurate financial and other records, so as to safeguard the Cooperative’s assets, securities, and funds.
Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Financial Reporting
- Department Supervision
- Software Usage
- Payroll and Cash Maintenance
- Annual Budget Preparation
- Monthly Financial Reporting including Variance Analysis
- RUS / CFC Collaboration
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required.
Minimum of ten years progressively responsible accounting/financial experience required. Five years supervisory experience preferred.
MBA or Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Knowledge of RUS or Utility accounting desired.
