St. Croix Electric Cooperative strives to go "above-and-beyond" in serving our members and members of the community with more than reliable electricity. Living in a rural area is a dream of many who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of large cities; for others, it is a way of life for multiple generations of their families. Regardless of the reason, the following additional services provided by St. Croix Electric can help enhance the quality of life for many of these residents:
Exede high-speed satellite Internet is, on average, 24 times FASTER than its WildBlue predecessor and, in many cases, comparable in speed and capability to its cable counterparts. With a Late-Night Free Zone that allows subscribers unlimited data usage from midnight to 5 a.m. - every night - as well as a reliable connection, staying in touch with friends, family and the 21st Century has never been more exciting. This service is available to all residents in St. Croix County and neighboring counties.
FirstCall Medical Monitoring gives subscribers and their loved ones the comfort of knowing help is just the push of a button away. FirstCall allows individuals with health conditions a monitoring system, which allows them to - in many cases - remain living the life they desire, independently. With no contract, and monthly fees less than $1 per day, it is a small investment for quality of life. Available to all residents of St. Croix County.
Enviro-Watch offers St. Croix Electric Cooperative members a 24-hour per day watch on their residence during an extended absence. For just $15 per month (minimum two-month commitment), members' homes are electronically monitored for temperature and available electricty. If the temperature in the house dips to a dangerous level or if there is a power outage, the St. Croix Electric call center is contacted and a trained operator will call a designated representative to check on the property.
