St. Croix Electric Co-op's Public Benefits Program offers energy assistance to qualifying low-income individuals or families who are SCEC members. In addition to energy conservation assistance, funds are used to provide credits on qualified participants' electric bills.
If your household income does not exceed 60 percent of state median income, you maybe eligible for electric bill credits through this assistance program. If you have already qualified or are eligible for heating bill assistance in the county in which you live, you may also qualify for electric bill paying assistance through SCEC. Requirements and benefits are similar to the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program.
