Dist. 2, 5, 8 Director Candidate Search

SCEC Nominating Committee Searching for Director Candidates
Director seats in Districts 2, 5 and 8 up for election

St. Croix Electric Cooperative members residing in Districts 2, 5 or 8, who are in good standing with the Cooperative, are eligible to pursue candidacy in the 2018 Director Election. Interested members should contact one of their Nominating Committee representatives by Monday, Feb. 19.

Three members represent each district on the Nominating Committee. Under the second Cooperative Principle of Democratic Member Control, it is the members who search for and interview potential candidates to stand for election to the nine-member board. Any members interested in being a potential candidate should contact their District Captain no later than Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 (contact information below) to allow time for all paperwork to be finalized by Thursday, Feb. 22. The Nominating Committee will finalize a slate of candidates on Feb. 22 to be voted on by Districts 2, 5 and 8. Any member missing the February candidate deadline should contact SCEC at 715-796-7000. Ballots will be mailed in mid-March and must be returned to the SCEC office by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018. They will be opened and tallied by members at the SCEC Annual Meeting of Members at R&D Catering Banquet Facility near New Richmond on April 12. Results of the election will be announced prior to the end of the meeting.

More information can be found in the February issue of St. Croix Electric's Energy Lifestyles Magazine.
