Co-op Principles Scholarship Guidelines


  • Students eligible for a scholarship include biological children, adopted children, stepchildren and children in guardianship of current members of the St. Croix Electric Cooperative. Children of current board members of St. Croix Electric Cooperative are not eligible.
  • Students must be enrolled and attending their senior year of high school and may be required to provide transcripts and other proof of enrollment as requested.
  • A scholarship application package including the following must be completed in its entirety and returned by the due date of Monday, March 2, 2020:
  • Students eligible for scholarships are those attending a Technical College or a two year or four-year college or university.

Selection: Committee appointed by cooperative management.

Disbursement: Scholarship will be payable to the school the student is attending after proof of enrollment is received.

Award: Up to three estimated at $1,500 each.

List all high school activities, indicating which class year(s) you participated and honors or offices held. (ex: FFA (9th-12th), secretary (11th); Cross-Country (10th-11th), varsity squad (11th); high school choir (12th), etc.). Please start a new line for each activity.
St. Croix Electric Cooperative is a business - much like any other business - but, in several ways, it is unique. In a brief narrative, explain what being a member of a consumer-owned, not-for-profit cooperative means to you.
Activities/Responsibilities Outside of School:
Have you had any specific involvement in a cooperative-sponsored event, such as Co-ops Yes! or Youth Leadership Congress (YLC)? If so, please share your experiences and what you learned.
Please explain any special circumstances of which you would like the scholarship selection committee to be aware, such as family, health or financial concerns.
