Federal court finds in favor of Dairyland

At issue was the cost to handle and store waste from the retired nuclear facility in LaCrosse.  Dairyland maintaned the Department of Energy broke its contract to dispose of spent nuclear fuel.  It currently costs Dairyland member-owners (including St. Croix Electric) $6 million per year for security, maintenance and monitoring of the nuclear fuel.
