MAKING RENEWABLE ENERGY A PART OF THE FUTURE
The United States Department of Energy forecasts that energy use will increase 30% by the year 2030. America will need to use generating plants that are fueled using clean coal technology, renewable energy, natural gas, hydropower, nuclear power, and other petroleum in order to meet this demand. St. Croix Electric purchases electricity that is generated by Dairyland Power Cooperative using coal and renewable energy sources.
Support the development of renewable sources by participating in Evergreen, a joint effort between Dairyland Power, St. Croix Electric, and neighboring electric cooperatives. For as little as an additional $1.50 per month, you can support Dairyland’s use of wind power, landfill gas-to-energy, animal waste-to-energy, and biomass renewables. Complete the on-line form to participate.
